Biography

I have been registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy since 1993, accredited by the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling. I have also trained with Spectrum (London) in humanistic psychotherapy, with the Severnside Institute in classical theory and at Bristol University in systemic family therapy. I trained as a couples counsellor with Re.Vision, a centre for integrative psychosynthesis.

Between 1973 and 1993, I worked as a qualified social worker in a variety of residential therapeutic communities and in Child and Family Guidance Clinics. I have worked as a psychotherapist for the NHS in community mental health teams, GP surgeries and in child and adolescent psychiatry. I have been a trainer for a number of organisations, including bcpc.

Since 2005, I have been a student of the Diamond Approach at the Ridhwan Foundation. This is a path of self-realisation and spritual development.

Understanding people and their relationships is at the centre of my life. I continue this on-going process with huge enthusiasm, energy and curiosity.

I am in supervision and work to a Code of Ethics.
